The NSS Unit organized an Awareness Session on Dementia and Alzheimer’s on Monday, 23rd February 2026 at Nirmala Hall. The session was conducted from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the objective of educating students and staff about these neurological conditions.
The session focused on creating awareness about Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, their early symptoms, causes, and preventive measures. Participants were informed about the importance of early detection, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and providing emotional support to individuals suffering from these conditions.
The speaker also emphasized the need for empathy, patience, and proper care for elderly individuals who may be affected by such diseases. The session encouraged students to become more aware and sensitive towards mental health and age-related cognitive disorders.
The program was informative and engaging, helping participants gain a better understanding of dementia and Alzheimer’s while promoting awareness about the importance of supporting affected individuals and their families.
