The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science (Autonomous) organized a workshop and guidance session on “Handholding through Mentoring” on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025 at 11:30 am in the Mini Auditorium (Block No. 706). The session was held in collaboration with St. Francis Institute of Management and Research under the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The resource person for the session was CMA Dr. Natika Poddar, Associate Professor in Finance at St. Francis Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. Her expertise and practical insights enriched the session significantly.
The objective of the workshop was to provide valuable insights, strategies, and expert guidance to teaching staff on how to mentor students effectively. Dr. Poddar highlighted the importance of building trust and rapport with mentees, shared tools for better communication, and explained practical approaches to foster both academic and personal development among students.
The session was highly interactive, encouraging faculty members to reflect on their own mentoring practices. All the faculties gained a deeper understanding of the mentoring process, equipping them with new strategies for effective student engagement and holistic development.The workshop concluded on a positive note.
