The Role of Soft Skills in the Media Industry

The Department of Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication (BAMMC) successfully organized a seminar titled "The Role of Soft Skills in the Media Industry" on 22nd June 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mini Auditorium. The session was conducted with the objective of enhancing students' understanding of the significance of soft skills in building successful careers in the media and communication industry.The resource person for the seminar was Mr. Adil Nomani, an experienced corporate trainer specializing in Marketing, Soft Skills, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Management Training. With extensive experience in training professionals from reputed institutions and organizations such as IBS, VESIM, ITM, MET, and BSE, Mr. Nomani shared valuable industry insights and practical knowledge with the students.During the interactive session, the speaker emphasized the importance of communication skills, teamwork, leadership, adaptability, emotional intelligence, professional ethics, time management, and interpersonal skills in the media profession. He highlighted how these competencies complement technical expertise and play a vital role in career growth, workplace success, and professional development. Through real-life examples and engaging activities, the session encouraged students to develop confidence and cultivate a positive professional attitude.
