The Department of B.Com. (FM) – CFP, in association with Beam Outsourcing Services LLP (BOS), organised a Financial Fraud Awareness Session on 19th October 2026 at Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science. The session aimed to create awareness among students about online financial frauds, cyber scams, safe digital transactions, and measures to prevent financial fraud. The session was conducted by Mr. Gurudatta Vishnu Ajgaonkar (SEBI SMART Trainer), who shared valuable insights into the various types of financial frauds and the precautions individuals should take to safeguard themselves against such fraudulent activities.The speaker highlighted the importance of verifying digital transactions, protecting personal and banking information, identifying suspicious links and calls, and staying alert while conducting financial activities online. The session also emphasised the need to adopt safe digital practices and remain vigilant against emerging cyber threats.Overall, the session was a meaningful initiative towards empowering students with the knowledge and skills required to recognise, prevent, and report financial frauds, thereby promoting safer digital financial practices.A total of 30 students attended the session and gained valuable knowledge about financial safety and fraud prevention.
