The seminar gave insights on various investment tips and how to be cautious as a while investing in various financial instruments. 85 students benefited from the program.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of B.Com (MS) successfully organized a Six-Day Personality Development Camp for First-Year students. The camp aimed to nurture students' soft skills and promote their holistic development.
The primary objective of the camp was to acquaint participants with emerging trends and strategies to enhance their soft skills, enabling them to thrive in the dynamic environment of the 21st century. A total of 85 students from First-Year B.Com (MS) and B.Com (A & F) registered and on an average, 70 actively participated in the program.

Day 1
The inaugural event was held on Monday, 20th January, 2025 and the Principal and Vice-Principal graced the occasion. The day began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the session on "Mastering the Art of Corporate Correspondence". Ms. Vinaya Ratnaparkhi, a Soft-Skill Trainer and Coach gave an overview of the value and significance of soft skills in both personal and professional spheres.
The workshop aimed to provide insights into the principles of effective corporate communication, focusing on clarity, professionalism, and adaptability. It emphasized the importance of precision and tone in crafting emails, reports, and other formal correspondence.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions that covered essential topics such as structuring professional emails, avoiding common errors, and tailoring communication to diverse audiences.

On Tuesday, 21st January, 2025, the guest speaker Ms. Tina Kalra spoke on the topic of "Building Connections Through Effective Communication".
The program focused on the importance of effective communication in building strong professional and personal connections. Participants were introduced to key strategies for active listening, non-verbal communication, and articulating thoughts with clarity and confidence.
Interactive activities, including group discussions, helped participants practice and refine their communication skills.

Ms. Manjula Kamath, Life Skills Trainer, Educator and Entrepreneur gave a talk on Pathways to Leadership on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
The Speaker shared valuable insights on developing essential leadership qualities such as decision-making, team management, and effective communication. Through engaging activities and practical examples, participants were encouraged to explore their leadership potential and build confidence to take on leadership roles in various aspects of life.
The session was well-received and left a lasting impression on the participants, inspiring them to embark on their journey toward becoming impactful leaders.

Dr. Shivani Naik's talk on “Unlock your Brand Potential” on Thursday, 23rd January, 2025 provided participants with valuable insights into personal branding and its significance in today’s competitive world. Dr. Naik emphasized the importance of self-awareness, consistent messaging, and leveraging unique strengths to build a strong personal brand.
Interactive discussions and activities allowed participants to reflect on their individual attributes and create a roadmap to enhance their personal and professional identities.

Ms. Kamakshi Gupte provided insights on “Unlocking Emotional Intelligence: A Pathway to Self-Awareness” on Friday, 24th January, 2025.
Ms. Gupte emphasized the importance of emotional intelligence in personal and professional growth. She highlighted key aspects such as self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation, and explained how these skills contribute to effective decision-making and relationship building.
Through engaging activities and real-life examples, participants were encouraged to explore their emotions, understand their impact, and develop strategies for managing them constructively.
Day 6
Dr. Sneha Vaskar, a licensed corporate trainer, presented on the topic “The Power of First Impression” on Saturday, 25th January, 2025. The session highlighted the significance of creating a positive and lasting first impression in both personal and professional settings.
The speaker shared practical tips on grooming, body language, and effective communication, emphasizing how these elements contribute to building confidence and credibility. Participants engaged in hands-on activities to practice and refine their skills in making a strong first impression.
The session was an inspiring conclusion to the camp, equipping participants with valuable tools to present themselves confidently and leave a memorable mark in every interaction.
During the closing ceremony, attendees shared their thoughts on their experiences attending and learning from the Six-Day Camp. The event concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony where the attendees received their certificates.
The Department of B.Com (MS) & B. Com (A&F) in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college had organized a one-day “Outdoor Management Training Programme” on Thursday, 19th December, 2024 at Sanjay Gandhi National Park for the students for First Year B. Com (MS) & SYBAF.
Mr. Nikhil Velari, a renowned corporate trainer and an alumnus of the BMS Department of the college (graduated in the year 2016-17) was the trainer. He is known for conducting leadership building programmes and has trained thousands of young learners.
The session consisted of various activities and fun games based on Principles of Management. This form of experiential learning in outdoor settings, helped participants cultivate stronger interpersonal relationships, fostered trust and developed a deeper understanding of teamwork dynamics. It encouraged adaptability, resilience and effective communication resulting in better collaboration and decision-making. A total of 72 students benefited from the programme.
The Department of B.Com (A&F) organised a learning session titled “Know the CourtRoom Proceedings' ' scheduled on Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024 at 11.00 am in the Block No 711 (Moot Court Room) . The Session was conducted by Advocate Metanshu Purandare.The seminar offered a unique opportunity to the students to gain insights into the legal world through a Moot Court experience.
The takeaway of the seminar was students had an excellent opportunity to learn about legal procedures, develop argumentation and analytical skills, and gain valuable insights from experienced legal professionals. The Department of B.Com ( A & F) in association with Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers organized a training program on “Mastering Money: A Guide to Financial Literacy” on Wednesday, 27th November 2024 for the students of B.Com (A & F) and BMS (Finance specialization). The objective of the training was to acquaint the students with the stock market regulations given by SEBI and create awareness about investing smartly and not falling prey to tips given by any organizations or individuals. This training program benefited 110 students.
The Departments of B.Com (A & F) and B.Com (MS) organized a live workshop on Thursday, 08th August 2024 for Module IV on the subject of Fundamentals of People’s Skills for the first-year learners. The session was conducted by Ms. Sangeeta Varma on “Resume Building” for the students in the college auditorium. The workshop was designed to empower students with the tools and knowledge needed to create standout resumes. The workshop began with an overview of effective resume structures, emphasizing clarity, conciseness, and relevance. Participants learned how to craft impactful resumes tailored to specific job applications, including tips on highlighting achievements and skills. The workshop successfully equipped students with valuable skills and insights, fostering greater confidence in their job search and career development efforts. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and seek guidance on specific career-related concerns. A total number of 203 learners benefited from the workshop.

Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science organized the IIT Spoken
Tutorial Certification Examination on Friday, October 4, and Monday, October 7, 2024, in the
computer labs located on the 3rd floor of the college premises. This examination was
conducted for the students of Computer Science. This examination aimed to assess
students’ understanding and application of key
concepts in various technical subjects, enhancing their practical skills and communication
abilities through spoken tutorials.
The examination process began on September 20, 2024, with the successful registration of
students in different subjects. Video links for the respective subjects were circulated among
students via WhatsApp groups. Students were encouraged to study the video materials and
complete assignments related to their courses. The IIT Spoken Tutorial Certification
Examination took 30 hours to study the videos, complete the assignments, and prepare for
the examination.

On September 4th, 252 students and 6 dedicated faculty members from Nirmala Memorial Foundation College of Commerce and Science embarked on a remarkable educational visit to Nehru Planetarium. Students were taken on a thrilling journey through the vastness of the cosmos, exploring planets, stars, the Milky Way, asteroids, and the Orion Nebula. The show offered an in-depth look at the wonders of astronomy, expanding their knowledge about celestial bodies and the mysteries of the universe. The Department of Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) in association with the Western India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India successfully organized Finologue: Unveiling Financial Perspectives on Saturday, 28th September 2024. This intercollegiate financial elocution competition was held in the Mini-Auditorium (Block No. 706) and attracted participants from 24 different colleges.
The event aimed to provide students a platform to articulate their views on various financial topics, thereby enhancing their understanding of finance and accounting while also fostering critical thinking and public speaking skills. Participants showcased their eloquence, knowledge, and analytical prowess on diverse financial subjects, impressing the audience and judges alike.
The competition was intense, with participants demonstrating a deep understanding of complex financial concepts and the ability to present them in a coherent and persuasive manner. After a series of insightful speeches, three outstanding speakers emerged as the winners.

The Department of BMS and BAF organised Unleash the Social and Business Etiquette Mindset” Workshop on Saturday, for First Year learners on Saturday, 10th August, 2024 in the main auditorium.
Ms. Riddhi Mukesh Kunjwani, Certified Soft Skill Trainer, Corporate Trainer and Founder of Riddhi’s Soft Skills Solution (her own establishment), conducted the sessions for the First Year learners of BMS and BAF in their respective slots. Ms. Kunjwani has been mentoring college students, working professionals, entrepreneurs and home-makers too in various facets of Soft Skills and has been associated with renowned companies like Hutch/ Vodafone, NIIT, ACPD Solutions and more.
The Workshop gave valuable insights to the attendees into the importance and ways to acquire etiquettes and social grace in the professional world. The highlight of the workshop was the dining etiquette session. The learners had been asked to carry cutlery articles and a cake piece to gain on-hands practice of dining correctly in formal setups.
Ms. Kunjwani gave in-depth glimpses into the need and importance of learning and practising social and professional etiquette.

Day 1
The inaugural event was held on Monday, January 29, 2024, and the acclaimed Principal and Vice Principal attended. The first session, titled "Unleash the Potentials of Soft Skill in Career Advancement," began once the lamp was lit. Mr. Michael Jose, a corporate trainer and expert speaker, spent an hour discussing soft skills with the pupils. The speaker gave an overview of the value and significance of soft skills in both personal and professional spheres.
Day 2
On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the camp's second day, guest speaker Ms. Pooja Vaidya spoke on the topic of "Establishing Social Etiquette." The expert shared information on social etiquette, which is the courteous code of behavior observed in social situations. This covers attitudes and actions like being on time and having nice conversations. Speaking loudly enough and with clarity is another example. The speaker's social style helped the students form a personal bond.
Day 3
Ms. Jignasa Pandya, a certified yoga trainer, gave a talk on mental wellbeing to foster personality on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. The speaker's topic of discussion was the relationship between personality qualities and mental health. Additionally, she discussed the seven elements of positive mental health: resilience, positive emotional balance, maturity, strengths of character, life satisfaction (actual happiness), socioemotional intelligence, and positive emotional balance. The speaker gave the pupils instruction in practical yoga poses.
Day 4
Dr. Sneha Vaskar, a licensed corporate trainer, presented on the topic of "Uncovering the Potentials of Social Media Personal Branding" on Thursday, February 1, 2024. According to the speaker, social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are great resources for building and expanding a personal brand because they give users the opportunity to connect with a wider range of specific target consumers. Also, it gives you the ability to write the story around your brand, giving you complete control over what people discover when they search for you.

Build Your Confidence was the topic of Ms. Tina Kalra's talk on Friday, February 2, 2024. She is a trained soft skill trainer from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Tips from Ms. Tina included Make sure that the goals are reasonable. Engage in constructive self-talk. Allocate time for one’s interests and experimentation to discover the areas of passion. Speak with a counselor or mental health specialist to discover self-management techniques that can enhance self-worth and confidence.
Day 6
Ms. Nishka Joshi provided insights on The Art of Creating First Impression on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Ms. Joshi provided fourteen guidelines for creating a strong first impression.
Get there early, Actively listen, show empathy, pay attention to your posture and body language, Adjust your voice and pitch, make thoughtful word choices, look the part, and make eye contact. The lesson on establishing a strong first impression was well-absorbed by the students.
During the closing ceremony, attendees shared their thoughts on their experiences attending and learning from the six-day camp. Upon successfully finishing the six-day camp, the principal and vice principal distributed certificates.
To enhance the soft skills of students, the Department of BMS and BAF on Tuesday, 6th February, 2024 organized a seminar on “Tips and tricks to crack Interview” where the students will learn to articulate their strengths, experiences and goals effectively to crack job Interviews. A total of 156 students benefited from it.
The Department of B.Com ( A & F) in association with Consumer Guidance Society of India organised a seminar on How to be Wise Consumer and Smart Investors on Friday, 6th October, 2023 for the First and Second Year Students of B.Com ( A & F). The seminar gave insights on consumer rights of consumers and gave insights on various investment tips. 82 students benefited from the program.
The Department of BAF had organised a workshop on "Various Negotiable Instruments” for first year students scheduled on Tuesday, 12th September, 2023 from 7:30 am to 9:00 am in block no. 403. The guest speaker was CMA Mr. Nilesh Arde, a practising Cost and Management Accountant. The session gave in depth details about Negotiable instruments which are indispensable in modern finance and commerce, providing a secure and efficient means of conducting transactions. Understanding their types, key elements, legal implications, and practical applications is essential for businesses, professionals, and individuals. The Department of B.Com (A & F) organised an Educational Visit to RBI Monetary Museum on Friday, 25th August, 2023 for the students of First Year B.Com (A & F) students. The students toured the museum and observed the rare and historical currency notes, coins and artifacts on display. They read about the evolution of money, starting from the barter system of ancient times to the current electronic money. Students also got an opportunity to see the tools and equipment that were used to mint coins and gold bars. There was also an exhibit of the various financial instruments.The visit ended with a video on the history of RBI and money. A total of 56 students participated in the visit and benefitted from it.
The Departments of BMS and B.Com (A & F) had organized a Workshop on “Corporate Etiquette” on Saturday, 12th August, 2023 for the students of FYBMS, FY.B.Com (A & F) and FYBAMMC in the college auditorium. Ms. Manisha Jain, an image consultant, soft skill and corporate trainer from Avance Image Management was the expert speaker. Training on body language, corporate manners and dining etiquette was delivered to students.In total 200 students of First year benefitted from the workshop. Students had a good takeaway from the session.
The Departments of BMS had organized a Workshop on “Communication Skills- Connect, Convey & Collaborate.” on Thursday, 3rd August, 2023 from 10.00 am for the students of First Year BMS and BAF in the college auditorium. Mr. Jose Michael, a well-known Soft Skills Trainer, Entrepreneur, & Corporate trainer was the featured speaker. The primary objective of the session was to enhance students' abilities to effectively convey their ideas, thoughts, and messages, both verbally and non-verbally. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical tools and techniques to improve various aspects of communication, including verbal expression, active listening, body language, and interpersonal skills.A total of 250 students benefited from the session.
The Department of B.Com (A & F) in association with Ambitious Learning Solutions (Financial Planning Academy) had organised a seminar on “Introduction to Security Market” on Tuesday, 11th July 2023 from 11.15 am in Block No. 506.The resource person from Ambitious Learning Solution enlightened the students about the security market and its functioning. A total of 98 students benefitted from the session.
The Departments of BMS and B.Com (A & F) have organized a Workshop on “Pitch Perfect” on Saturday, 22nd July, 2023 from 11:15 am for the students of First Year BMS, B.Com (A & F) and B.A.M.M.C. in the college auditorium. The guest speakers were Dr. Mayur Vyas and Neshma Mantri, renowned Voice Over Artists in Bollywood Industry. The session taught the students how to use their vocal boxes effectively and to explore the various voicing textures in recognition of the crucial role they play in good formal presentations.A total of 142 students benefitted from the session.
The Department of B.Com (A &F) in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the College had arranged a workshop titled “The Mock Stock Trading Session" on Tuesday, 25th July, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Block No. 504. The Guest speaker was CA. Dharin Shah who enlightened the students on the Basic Stock Market Concepts and guided them regarding the Stock Trading Process.
The workshop was followed by a trading competition. A total of 66 students participated in the programme.

The college had arranged an industrial visit to Chandigarh and Manali for the students of first, second and third year B.Com (A & F) students from 8th to 15th February, 2023.The students were taken to Inter Solar and Sai Shawls where they were shown the manufacturing process of solar panels and shawls respectively. Students benefitted greatly from the experience.
The college had arranged a visit to Reserve Bank of India Museum for the students of First Year B.Com (A & F) as a part of internal assessment. The visit was scheduled on Saturday, 17th December, 2022.Students participated enthusiastically and benefited from the visit.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of B.Com (A & F) had organised a Three Day Certified Workshop on “Demystifying Financial Statement” scheduled on Tuesday, 20th, Wednesday, 21st and Thursday, 22nd December, 2022. The session was conducted by Ms. Aayushi Punamiya and Ms. Yukti Gala. The workshop provided insights on reading understanding and analyzing Financial Statements.
The Department of B.Com (A & F) in association with Sykes and Ray Edupro, NSE Academy and HDFC Mutual Fund, organized a one day Financial Awareness Training Program for the students of second year BMS and B.Com ( A & F). The training program was scheduled on Thursday, 17th November, 2022 from 9:30 am in Block no. 406. The basic objective of the training program was to impart right knowledge and inputs to understand the financial market and personal finances. Each student received a certificate from NSE academy & HDFC Mutual Fund.
The Department of B.Com (Accounting and Finance) in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell had organised an event titled “Mock Stock (The D - Street Game) ” on Friday, 26th August 2022 at 9:00 am in the college basement. Trading of securities of the marketing fair stalls (set up by BMS department students) took place. There were brokers to educate and assist the investors on their trading decisions. At the end of the event, the investors with maximum portfolio valuation were awarded. Students participated with enthusiasm and learnt about live trading.
The Departments of BMS and B.Com (A & F) had organized a Workshop on “Hop on to the Vocal Express” on Thursday, 25th August, 2022 from 11:30 am for the students of FYBMS and FY.B.Com (A & F) in the college auditorium. The guest speaker was Dr. Mayur Vyas, a Voice Over Artist in Bollywood, Tollywood and Hollywood Industries, and also BMS Coordinator at Usha Pravin Gandhi College. The session taught students on pitch, modulations, tone and how to use their vocal boxes effectively and explore the various voicing textures in recognition of the crucial role they play in good formal presentations.At the end of the session a question and answer round took place.A total of 108 students attended the session.
The Departments of BMS and B.Com (A & F) had organized a Workshop on “Corporate Etiquette” on Wednesday, 24th August, 2022 for the students of FYBMS and FY.B.Com (A & F) in the college auditorium. Ms. Greeshma Thampi, an image consultant, soft skill and corporate trainer, was the Guest Speaker. Students attended the workshop and benefited from it. The schedule for the programn was as follows:

An orientation program was organised for the students of FYBAF on 23th August, 2022. The department coordinator oriented the students.
With an aim to give experiential learning, the Department of B.Com (A & F) in association with IQAC organised a Workshop on “Wolf of the Dalal Street” for the students on Friday, 5th August 2022 at 9:00 am in block no. 508 followed by from 10:00 am, hands on experience in the computer laboratory (Lab No.1). Guest Speaker was CA Dharin Shah. As a part of the workshop, a competition was held on trading of securities and commodities. At the end of the workshop, students received a participation certificate and the team of students with maximum portfolio valuation were awarded.
With an aim to give practical exposure and experiencing learning to the students On 30th July, 2022 the Department of B.Com ( A & F) had organised an education tour to Navneet Publishing House.The said visit gave knowledge to students about manufacturing procedure, series of marketing activities and logistics functioning and its CSR activities. A total of 85 students of Second Year B.Com ( A & F) benefited from the visit.
The Department of B.Com ( A & F) had organised a Workshop on “Word Wise” for the Second and Third year students. The program was scheduled on Monday, 18th July 2022. The Guest Speaker was Mrs. Shobha Venkatesh, having two decades of work experience in the field of Brand Management, Public Relations and Corporate Communication in diverse industries such as Media, Advertising, Publication and Finance. She has worked with esteemed organizations – Standard Chartered, Hindustan Times, Dataram Advertising, Acorns to Oaks at Senior Management position.
A total of 119 students benefited from the program.
The Department of B.Com (A & F) had organised a Workshop on “Insights on Various Financial Instruments” for the Second year students on Tuesday, 19th July, 2022 at 12.30 pm in block no. 704. Guest Speaker was Ms. Tejashri Naik, Branch Manager at The Shamrao Vithal Co-operative Bank. Various Financial instruments were made to understand students. The procedure to open a bank account was also taught to students. A total of 81 students benefited from the program.
